semperfiona was born in California, grew up in Wisconsin, went to Indiana University, and now lives in a beautiful old St Louis house with her boyfriend ohari, her girlfriend lavendargrrl, their daughters, two cats, two dogs, five computers, and uncounted stuffies. Recently she's been spending a lot of time in North Carolina with her girlfriend mac_arthur_park, praise be to the Goddess of Second Chances.

A person who spent much of her youth and early adulthood with a chronic case of wanderlust, she has become mostly a homebody. A person who once stunned the flight attendants on a Japan Air Lines flight by reading Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood in the original, she has constant regrets about having forgotten almost every word of Japanese she ever knew. A person who grew up an evangelical Christian, she is now an apathetic Taoist Pantheist. A person who used to be acutely shy, she is now willing to travel across the country to hang out for five days with total strangers. A person who once had boundless ambition, she's now unabashedly lazy. A person whose adolescence was marked by the total absence of romantic interest from the opposite sex, she's now a polyamorous bisexual with two primary partners, a girlfriend, and several other lovers.

Do one thing each day that scares you
